How to practice for a presentation?

You need to remember that you need to invest sufficient time for the practice. For a 30-minute presentation, you need to practice at least about three hours. Here is what you need for the preparation for the practice.

A voice recorder (If you don’t have one, get yourself one.)

• Mind mapping tools –paper and crayon

• Three hours of time.

Here is what you need to do. Take three slides at a time, starting from the title slide. Mind map points on the sheet for each of those slides.

Start practicing the first slide by speaking into the voice recorder. Hear the recording and note down areas of improvement.

Re-record repeatedly until you get it perfect. Go through all the slides this way and finally make a full presentation of all the slides together from beginning to the end.

You will be amazed at the confidence and results you will get from this practice.
